With a gentle tilt of her head leftwards in surveying the admittedly desolate surroundings of the Great Swamps, the fair lady enjoyed a thin sip of "tea," eyes centered against the infinite horizon stretching in all directions. It was a mystery to me just what she contemplated in the passing moments as her icy gaze remained focused on the distant marsh vista, her attentions in me long since lost to far deeper reflections. I made my leave without saying good bye, presumably before she even looked up..and traveled back to the Cordon, due East.
